2009 is upon us

I had a wonderful Christmas this year. We celebrated at Tommy and Shannon's home in Dallas.
Vanessa, Matt, Jackson and Audrey came on Christmas Day but had to leave that night so they could go to Mississippi to spend time with Matt's family.I received alot of great gifts this year. My husband gave me a beautiful diamond anniversary ring and an opal necklace and opal earrings...Love them!!!! I got good gifts from my children also. They really put some thoughts into their gifts this year. My daughter Kim and her husband Andreas couldn't be with us at Christmas but they did watch us open presents via the webcam. I really miss those two!
I can't beleive that in a few days it will be the year 2009. I'm not going to do anything for New Year's Eve...just stay at home and watch t.v. like always.
Going to bake a ham and have blacked eye peas for the new year...yum.
I have two major things that will happen in 2009....My daughter Vanessa will be getting married in April and a family reunion in June. I am the reunion planner but I have alot of help from my sister Ginger and brother Frankie and sister Kerry.
Vanessa's wedding is number one on my list. In January I will be traveling to Bossier City to help Vanessa look for a wedding gown. I believe Matt's mom and Shannon will be there also. This is going to be fun.
So I won't look too fat in the wedding photos I am on a mission to lose some weight before April 25th. That's not much time....3 months....so wish me luck .
