My Wonderful Sons and Daughters

Andreas and Kim
I want to thank God for giving me these wonderful people to me.
I felt so loved by them when they all called me on Mother's Day.
Getting a card from them is nice, but it is those phone calls that mean the most.
I don't care what anyone says but my children are the Best in the world.
I love each and everyone of them!

Making Summer Memories

Summer is almost here and even though I can't stand 100 degree weather it's a special time of year for me and my husband.

We get to have our grandchildren Isabel,Sophie,Jackson and Audrey come and spend two whole weeks with us. Not all four together...Two weeks with Isabel and Sophie and then two weeks with Jackson and Audrey.

My grandchildren are growing up so fast and their Nanny and the Poppinator have already missed so much of what they are doing cause we live eight hours away.

When grandparents live far from their grandchildren I am a strong believer that grandchildren should come and visit.

NOTHING is more important than spending time with love ones. So what if the child has to miss a few ball games, birthday parties, summer camp, or their friends and so on.

My daughters Vanessa and Shannon will always consult with me on the best time for the children to visit, then they make their other plans for the children. Whether it be before or after the two week visit.

My grandchildren and I may not do much while they are here and where is it written anyways that you have to entertain them with a trip to Sea World. Just being with them is such a heartfelt feeling for me.

There will come a time when they will be too busy...like having to work...which is the only excuse I will accept.

The parents of all grandchildren should encourage their children to spend time with their grandparents. After all we are not getting any younger and our health may be failing a little bit, plus as they say our time on Eath is limited.

When Isabel, Sophie, Jackson and Little Miss Audrey come to visit, that is memory making time for all of us.

I have but a few memories of going to my grandparents and spending the night with them. My grandparents just lived a few miles from me.

You might not think it is important right now but when the children get older, they Will want to recall favorite memories of grandma and grandpa when they are gone.

I treasure my two weeks of summer time visit from my grandchildren like it was a rare jewel that I had found.

how to see a movie free

Last Saturday my daughter Vanessa gave me some free tickets to the movies so I took Jack and Audrey to see Bedtime Stories at the Regal.
Vanessa let me take her Altima and it was so weird to me cause her car sounded like it had some kind of problem. I kept asking Jack if this was the way the car was suppose to be sounding and he said yes to that same question I asked about 100 times. Audrey was so tired of me asking that question she finally ask me if I could talk about something else cause she was didn't want to hear about her mother's car anymore.
Okay we go into the regal with our tickets and I look around looking for the person who would tear our tickets in half and give us the stubs back. No such person was standing at the entrance.
There was a sign behind this food counter that said PURCHASE YOU TICKETS HERE!
Well I told the children...We have our tickets already so we don't need to be in that line.
Next we get in a line to get a coke cause I had already stop at circle k and got our snacks.
After getting the coke we just walked into the hallway
and found where the movie was going to play.
I got Jack and Audrey settled in their seats and Jack mentions that no one took our tickets!!!
So that is how we saw a movie for free and Vanessa still has 3 free tickets to the movies.
It was a honest mistake on my part and next time I have free tickets I will go to the line that says to buy your ticket here. I wonder how many others have done the same thing because they have no one watching the entrance to the movies.

As everyone knows I have two dachshund, Celie and Koko. Well today my nice little doggies thought they were going to have some dove for a little snack. They wanted to go outside even though it's cooler than heck but I went ahead and let them out leaving the patio door open but the screen shut. All of a sudden I heard those two scrabbling after something and I look out and Koko has a dove in her mouth. I yelled at her to put it down and to get away. Now my dogs know I am boss so they hurried as fast as they could into the house. The dove must of been hurt already before Koko got to it cause it didn't try to fly away from me when I went to pick it up. I didn't know what to do for the little thing except take it to the other side of the fence so my little meat eaters couldn't get to it.

After a while i went and checked on it and sorry to say but the little dove was dying. Now I am really sad cause I couldn't help this small creature and it has gone to birdie heaven. Did someone shoot the dove or did it have a disease cause why else would it be on the ground and not fly away. I washed my hands just in case it was sick.

And to top it all off I am mad at those dogs of my cause they are house dogs and they will eat anything they get their mouths on...grubs, birds, lizards and so on. Those two dogs have been trying for a few years to catch mr. squirrel but thank God that little rascal can scurry up that oak tree real fast.

Even in the cold and dreary month of January, I can look out my patio door and see my hibiscus blooming with such vibrant colors. I took this picture after it had drizzed all morning...see the raindrops on it's petals.

Tom is standing next to one of my baby pine from about 2 seasons ago. I have 3 more like that one...I just love my trees.
